The X-Scooter Sierra is a light, powerful, manoeuvrable scooter. At 16kgs for the standard body, it is the lightest expedition class scooter available and is also superb for travelling. The scooter provides plenty of power for any kind of diving; recreational diving, wreck diving, freediving or cave diving.
The X-Scooter Sierra range is fully modular by design. This means that owners of a standard body who find they need additional range, can simply buy a long body and an extra battery, re-using their existing battery and tail section. This enables the diver to switch between the two body types depending on the requirements of the dive.

The Sierra is the most versatile of the X-Scooter range. It's light weight makes it ideal in a huge range of circumstances. It is light enough to hand off up to a boat tender, ideal for shore diving and small enough to take as a back-up scooter on longer penetration dives. The small turning circle is ideal for scootering in tight spaces such as within wrecks.
The body is the same diameter as an AL80 cylinder which will fit into dive boat cylinder racks. The scooter can be clipped off to the chest d-ring at any point in the dive, for example before the ascent, where it will float behind the diver exactly like an AL80. This means the scooter can be taken on every dive. If the conditions at the bottom of the shot aren't suitable for scootering (zero vis) then clip the scooter off and continue with your dive.
The Sierra is the best scooter for the travelling diver. The NiMH battery has no travel restrictions, so can be packed in with your normal luggage. The whole scooter (excluding battery charger) can be packed in the new X-Pack and will weigh only 23kgs - essential in the current environment of shrinking travel allowances.
