If you stow your bailout reg on the bottle (as opposed to having it round your neck) it can slide about and end up dragging in the sand. Not only does this trash your reg, but if you need to bail in an emergency you can find the reg has moved! One way to get round this is to have super-tight bungees or rubber bands, or a simple alternative is to use an octopus holder on the neck of your bottle. This way your bailout reg is always by the handle of your tank and easy to find.
